Despite headlines suggesting a decline in physical stores, approximately 80% of shopping activity still takes place in-store, and shopping center vacancy rates remain near historic lows. As consumer expectations evolve, retailers are increasingly focused on enhancing the in-store experience through technology, personalization, and data-driven decision making.

Many retailers are investing in tools such as artificial intelligence, interactive displays, virtual reality, and augmented reality to create more engaging customer experiences. Others are using analytics to optimize store layouts, merchandising, and customer flow.

While online shopping continues to grow, physical locations remain a critical part of the retail landscape and are adapting to meet changing consumer demands.
